The Washington State Department of Health Environmental Public Health Programs Office of Shellfish and Water Protection has CLOSED all Hood Canal beaches from Foulweather Bluff south to Bangor NSB to the recreational harvest of all species of clams (including geoduck), oysters, mussels and other invertebrates such as the moon snail. All areas are closed for the sport harvest of scallops. The closures do not apply to shrimp and Crabmeat is not known to contain the PSP toxin, but the guts can contain unsafe levels. To be safe,clean crab thoroughly and discard the guts (butter).
